Child Sponsorship

Generational poverty, lack of resources and substandard education are just a few of the challenges facing our inner-city youth. The most effective way of reaching these students and their communities is through intentional mentoring. Child Sponsorship can make that dream a reality.

For just $35 a month you can impact the life of a child. Sponsorship support for all of the children in a center is combined and managed to provide a wide range of developmental activities and opportunities; however, that’s just the beginning. Children are given the tools to accomplish their dreams and change their communities. They are also presented with the opportunity to accept Christ and be discipled by caring volunteers.

Getting to know your child
visiting... You are invited to visit the center during regular tutoring days and special events. We encourage you to visit once a year so that you can experience the difference your sponsorship is making. Sponsors are also invited to volunteer. If your afternoons are free, consider giving one day a week to your center. Please contact your center’s director (listed on your magnet) to schedule a time to visit or volunteer.

letters and cards... As a sponsor, you will periodically receive personal letters from one of the children that you are blessing. You will also receive a newsletter packed with stories, updates and prayer requests.

gifts... There are two ways you can give gifts to the children:
Birthday Month - During the month listed on your magnet, you can send a small gift with a card. This gift will be given to one of the children whose birthday is that month.
Rewards/Learning Tools - Students earn rewards for grades, behavior and reading. You an help provide these by purchasing small gifts.

Gift Instructions
- Spend $10 or less on gifts
- Please leave the gift unwrapped
- Mail or deliver the gift to your center director
- Mail or deliver gifts during the first week of the birthday month you have been assigned
